RetroROV Project, Autonomous Heavy duty machinery.
This project consisted of the teleoperation and marinization of a terrestrial backhoe. SSM worked on this project developing the mechanical, software and electronics of the backhoe for its teleoperation. RetroROV started in 2013 with a 210,000 € budget project funded by the CDTI for one of our customers. With a duration of 2 years the prototype was tested at sea during 2 weeks with great performance.
