AUGA Project

AUGA is an AUV team formed by the company ACSM, in order to participate in the euRathlon competition. euRathlon 2015 was the first world outdoors multidomain robotics competition, held in Piombino, Italy. Competitors had the opportunity to deal with a realistic mock disaster scenario inspired by Fukushima. ACSM subcontracted SSM in order to lead the software programming (ROS) and software integration of various sensors as cameras, DVL and sonar in the SPARUS II AUV platform. The team obtained the 3rd position in the two sea challenges competing with 14 international participants.
